Feeney, Susan, 56, passed away in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her friends and family on Friday evening. She was the beloved wife of Brian, wonderful mother of Brian, Caitlin, and Colleen, adored daughter of Reita Blas and cherished sister of Anne Blas.Born in Providence, RI, Susan possessed the aspiration at a young age to take care of others. Susan was a registered nurse for 30 years and was an ICU nurse at the VA Medical Center in Providence before her illness. Her professional and personal lives were built on the foundation of compassion and generosity. Also the owner of Bradley Cafe for 20 years with her husband Brian, it was her corned beef dinners on St. Patrick's Day and delicious spread for Christmas parties that would highlight her all inclusive personality and ability to make everyone feel like family. Susan exhibited a particular sense of fierceness in the love of her favorite roles of being a wife and mother. Her sense of family and togetherness transcended the idea held by most. Susan believed family extended to those close friends who would frequent the dinner table and holiday festivities. Susan was a woman of many talents but it was her ability to make everyone in her life feel loved and appreciated, which came naturally to her. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, at 9:00 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am in St. Pius V Church, 55 Eaton Street, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, a dedicated blood drive in honor of Susan has been established at Rhode Island Blood Bank with reference number 3661. boyleandsonfuneralhome.com
