She was a daughter of the late Mario and Elena (Pezzullo) Baccari; wife of the late Felix Marinelli Jr.; mother of Donna E. Dumont, Lucille B. Marinelli, Phyllis J. Gorton and her husband Timothy, and the late Felix Marinelli III; grandmother of Ronnie R. Dumont, Vanessa L. Gorton and Amanda A. Gorton; great-grandmother of Ronnie J. Theresa was a seamstress by trade who made everything from her daughters matching dresses to designing and sewing clothing from a simple description without a pattern. She worked as a private seamstress for years and retired from her profession as Fatima Hospital’s in-house seamstress.
Theresa was left a young widow; but she was the rock that held her family together. She loved to cook and feed everyone. She lived life to the fullest and was always there to help anyone who needed her help.
Her favorite pastime was the slot machine and she loved her scratch tickets; but never before the bills got paid and some money was saved. She lived her life for her children and will be missed very much; and if she taught the ones she loved and who loved her anything, it was that family and friends need to stay together and keep the traditions she lived and loved alive.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 4-7 p.m. with funeral services Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the PONTARELLLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence.
