

North ProvidenceThomas L. Boudria, 53, of Fruit Hill Avenue, died Monday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence, after being stricken at home. He was the beloved husband of Maryellen (Carnevale) Boudria. They were married for twenty years. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, he was a son of Armand L. and Rachel (Dunkin) Boudria of Fall River. Tom was a 1978 graduate of the University of Massachusetts. He worked as a U.S. Postal Service employee for twenty-three years in the North Attleboro Post Office and also worked as a postal service instructor. He was a member of the United Postal Workers Union, Local 219, and an umpire for the American Softball Association. Tom was a communicant of Saint Augustine Church. Besides his wife Maryellen, and his parents, he leaves his cherished son, Matthew T. Boudria, at home; three brothers, Michael Boudria, David Boudria and Daniel Boudria; a sister, Sharon Viveiros; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning, at 10:00 am, in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday, 4 - 8 pm in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 smith street, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom Boudria's memory to the Jimmy Fund, c/o The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, Massachusetts 02445 will be appreciated.
