Wendy Mae Muriel, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 9, 2022. She was the beloved wife of 24 years to John M. Muriel, they had been together for 33 years. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of Lucille M. (Pugsley) Casey of Coventry and the late Paul Dailey.
Wendy had worked at the former Mr. Taco on Providence Street, West Warwick where she made extensive friendships with her fellow employees and customers. After Mr. Taco closed, Wendy became a driver for Travelers Transit in Woonsocket, RI.
Wendy was a kind hearted person that always thought about other people before herself. She enjoyed crafts, shopping, going to restaurants, live music and spending time with family and friends. She loved all animals, especially her dogs Riley and Pippa.
Besides her husband and mother, Wendy leaves her brother Paul Dailey of West Warwick, her brother in law Paul Muriel and his wife Sue of Johnston, RI, sister in law Jessica Guevara and her husband Julio of Milton, MA, her nieces, Andrea Muriel, Athena Muriel, Camila Guevara, nephew Mateo Guevara and 4 godchildren. She also leaves extended family and friends. Wendy will always be missed, but never forgotten.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10:00 am in the church her and John were married, St. Thomas Catholic Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
