

Lawrence A. (Archie) Archuletta, 78. On Tuesday, August 30, Lawrence passed from this life to the next. He graduated from Central High School. At 19 he joined the Colorado Army National Guard and was honorably discharged after 30 years of service. He spent 38 years working as a steelworker for both the CF&I and Oregon Steel Mills. He spent many years in his retirement working for his good friend, Joe Skufca, at the Star Grocery as a butcher and meat cutter. He was an avid fly fisherman, hunter and RV enthusiast. His loves were creating art and spending time with his loved ones, family and friends especially his wife of 55 years and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Eloisa (Ellie) Archuletta; children, Lawrence ( Larry) Archuletta and Patricia Archuletta; grandchildren, Lauren and Jacob Archuletta; siblings, Annie Pincus, Juanita (Albert) Roldan, Madeline Padilla, Toby (Sharon) Sisneros; special niece, Rita Baca; special nephew, Louie (Toni) Sisneros; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and godchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Toribio and Isabel (Cordova) Archuletta; siblings, Richard and David Archuletta, Theresa Sisneros and special nephew, Cookie Sisneros. Rosary, 9:30 am, followed by Memorial Mass, 10:30 am, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
