Amos J. Vigil, March 28, 1925 – June 19, 2017. Amos retired for CF&I Ore Prep Dept. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and above all else his family. He spent many hours inventing things in his garage. He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII in the Philippines and New Zealand. Amos was raised in North La Veta on a sheep Ranch. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Atz, his parents, Max & Sarah Vigil, survived by his children Patty (Gilbert) Archuleta, Amy (Pete) Romero and brother in law Ernest (Joann) Valdez; grandchildren Rob (Sheena) Archuleta, Jason (Angelia) Archuleta, Marcie Richardson and Amber Romero; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 26th at 10:00am at Imperial Memorial Gardens with a gathering to follow.
