Grandma, you were truly one of a kind. You stole the hearts of so many with your loving and nurturing personality. Your heart was always so big with so much to give. I’m honored to be one of your granddaughters. You’ve brought so much goodness to my life. The kind I’ll cherish forever. I hope that I’m making you proud. I love you always! <3

We always knew you would age like fine wine! The woman that you are!

I remember when we were young kids and Betty and the rest of my family worked on the farms to help support my family. It was hot and dirty work but I never heard Betty ever complain about anything and when Betty was a young teenager she started waitressing and worked all hours of the night to help support my family. I never heard her ever complain about anything and when I was in Vietnam as a scared little kid her letters to me helped me make it through the chaos and death all around me, and when she started her family I never ever heard her complain about how hard it was to raise a young family and when her husband Freddy was not able to take care of himself she stepped up and started taking care of him and again she never complained about anything. When she passed the world lost an angel on earth. She had quiet grace and dignity that was Betty Baca. She was my hero and I never told her I loved her but rest in peace my precious sister.

Betty you were a great sister. I wish I could tell you that face to face. Even when you were taking care of us as kids you were so kind and made it fun. I always admired how adventurous you were and giving us memories and stories to tell how you were part of a Mariachi group, went deep sea fishing, had a luau, gave rides on a rickshaw. You weren't afraid to hold a tarantula in your hand.  I can't wait to hear all the other stories and memories we'll be telling about you over the years. Rest in peace sister.

In life, when it can hurt to be anything at all, I look to my grandma, and I feel solace. After school, after practices, at appointments, at celebrations, she was always there with a story, a smile, a laugh, or a quiet moment that you didn't want to end. She was the grace that guided my childhood. She is proof to me that love is eternal in this world. That any pain, that any apprehension, can only exist beneath it. Even though her presence has passed on, her devotion, her grit, and her legacy are undying in time and in everyone she touched.

Betty,  You started out with humble beginnings but that didn't stopped you from achieving so much not only for yourself but from your family!  I'm so proud to call you my sister!  You will be sorely missed

Betty was an amazing sister. We were her first kids, she took care of all of us. She was the glue that held everyone together. We always gathered at her house for most events. We loved getting together and cooking with her. I feel lost where do we go now? You passed on the torch to us Betty, I will miss you deeply.

Betty was such an important part of family members lives. She was selfless, always putting others before herself.  Everyone is really going to miss her.

My deepest condolences to all the family. I first met Betty when she joined and became a dedicated member of our group Mariachi de Pueblo. She always had such a warm heart, always smiling, and always ready to help anyone that needed it. I was blessed with her friendship and will miss her dearly. Msy she rest in eternal peace.

Love “ Tish”

Mom....you are every ones' nougat (the sticky gooey center) that held every one together.    You were the one that was ready to do fun things that everyone else wanted and made the activity so much more memorable and fun!  My heart aches for you.  There are no words that can ease the pain.

My mom was such a sweet soul.  She was always easy going and willing to do whatever everyone wanted to do.  She made life fun!  She was a rare beautiful individual.  I love you mom.  You will be very missed.

Betty is not only  the best mom. I've heard  my nephews and nieces say that even though they have friends from school that their grandma was their "bestie". They looked to her for advice or enjoy when she taught them to cook one of her special meals. They love just hanging out with their grandma.
