She married Ronald Higgs in 1955 and they were happily married until his death in 2000. Together they had three children, Rochelle, Rick and Valerie. She is survived by her children Rick and Valerie, along with her grandchildren Jason, Chantelle, Kevin, Stephanie, Angela, Erica and Arloe. She had many of great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was a sassy but loved her family.
