Carol Ann (Nies) McQueeney

Carol Ann (Nies) McQueeney, 75, went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2018. She was born in Chicago, IL., to Frank and Agnes Classen. Carol married Ronald Nies in 1963, then John McQueeney in 2012. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Ron and her parents. Carol is survived by husband, John McQueeney; children, Kathy (Paul) Wolyn, Ron (Susan) Nies, and Karyn (Robert) Veghte; grandchildren, Sarah, Kyla, Sam, Catie, Molly, Adrian, and Aaron.

Carol was an active member of St. Aloysius Parish in Rye. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being outside, watching football, playing golf, scrapbooking, and eating out with friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Carol's name to the Pueblo Zoo, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, or Sangre De Cristo Hospice.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Rye, CO.
