It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Carrie Ann Woy Kastelic on April 16, 2021 at the young age of 49. She was born in Marion, Ohio on August 29, 1971 to Harvey (Gene) and Abbie (Rogers) Woy. Survived by her parents, husband Ken Krummel, sister Angela (Bill Poll) Woy, children Shelbi Bensik, Caylee and Chas Krummel, nieces Kindal, Rylie and nephew Landon and lifelong best friend Laurie Archuleta-Collins. She had many very dear and cherished friends that were more than just friends, they were her “chosen” family.
Carrie would do anything for her friends and family. She made it very obvious that she was extremely proud of her daughter Shelbi, who was the light of her life.
She proudly worked at Transportation Technology Center, Inc. where she was committed to her work with the SERTC, MID and BOE teams. Carrie was a 1989 graduate of East High School and was currently working on her bachelor’s degree in business, she would have graduated in October of 2021.
Carrie along with her husband Ken and daughter Shelbi were proud supporters of the Pueblo Bulls Hockey team. They enjoyed being part of the billet family and caring for the players.
Her memory will forever be with all of us.
Everyone that knew Carrie knows she had an astounding love for animals. To honor this, the family is asking that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in her memory to the animal rescue Lucky Ones Ranch at https://luckyonesranch.org/animals/withlovefromcarrie/. A celebration of her life will be held later this summer. The family will make an announcement when the plans are in place.
