Charlotte came along in my younger life and helped me through some tough times as a young adult.  I was involved in coaching another team but Charlotte showed me aside of "the swim parent" that few coaches get to see.
Later in my older adult life I was able to share some time with Charlotte at the YWCA where I briefly lifeguarded...it was nice to share old memories.
I was unable to stay after the funeral mass BUT I did get to see all the "kids"(no longer) and Charlotte,
  I'm sure was so proud of all of you:  Bill, Barbara, Mary Claire, Tom and Van.  I still recognized all of you...what a joy.  

Charlotte had an integral part in my upbringing.  
The mothers of Woodland Ave raised us!...what a wonderful neighborhood to spend our childhood...I grew up with them being there for all of my accomplishments from First Communion to having babies if my own.  Charlotte was always there...I enjoyed visiting with her even after my own mother passed away...at YWCA....warm water classes, seeing her at church, stores...She always had time for you and always made you feel special.  She was a special lady and holds a piece of my heart.   I know it's hard to lose your mother but take joy in the memories that she gave you..Prayers!

We are so sorry for your loss. Your mother has left a legacy of  love and kindness that she shared not only with all of  you but with all of those who were blessed to know her.  She had a cheerful infectious smile that welcomed everyone she met.  She was devoted to her family and her faith.  May all  your treasured memories bring comfort at this sad time.

Charlotte Carara was always a part of my family as far as I can remember.    She was so grateful to be included in any occasion and any meal shared.  She had a way about her to make  you feel like your conversation with her  was the most important thing she had heard all day.  She was a good sport and dressed up in costume with her lady friends from church for a luncheon with me.  I remember her as always smiling.  She was a special lady and loved God very much.  She will truly be missed.

My thoughts are with you and your family during this time - may you find peace in your memories my friend.  Our moms loved to swim together and no matter how long it had been since seeing each other, they picked right back up from the last time and lived in that great moment.  Wishing you well...

 Where do we start? Charlotte was such a beautiful and loving person she was definitely  sent from heaven to do her work on earth, and now GOD has called her back to his Kingdom to live in eternity.  She will be GREATLY missed and cherished for ever!!  May GOD give you strength and comfort at this time of your loss!  Our thoughts and Prayers go out to all of you!  Remember we will meet up once again with all our loved ones when we get that call to join them in GODS Kingdom!! GOD BLESS!!

Through the years Charlotte was so supportive of our girl's gymnastics team at Central.   Mary Claire was one of the most outstanding gymnasts not only at Central but she was outstanding and  recognized at the state level.   Mary  was a large part in the success of Central's team and the state championship.  Charlotte and  Bill were so supportive of Mary and of the team....following us through all the teams  trips and most of all as the girls  won the state title.  It is largely because of parents like Charlotte that we were so successful.  Her encouragement meant the world to us.  I found her to be a loving caring friend and she will always have a special place in my heart.   My sincere sympathy to the family  you all were so lucky to have such loving caring parents and I know you will miss them both.

Dear   Bill and Kathy, Jackson and Barb, Van and Evelyn, Tom and Maureen, Dave and Maryclaire,
Please accept my sympathy and prayers at the death of your beloved Mother.  I pray that she now has great peace, joy and happiness in Heaven with God.  I pray also for ALL of you for your comfort, strength, and renewed Hope.   Let us entrust Charlotte to the loving and eternal embrace of our good and gracious God.
I was always happy in knowing your Mom and Dad, as well as all of you.  How many years...since '68!  I enjoyed visiting your folks.  Charlotte always had a LOT to share; it was never boring being with her.  I considered her a great Lady, a prayerful person, one concerned about others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 
two brothers, Van and Joe; 
sister, Zada. 
and husband of 65 years, William (Bill) M. Carara.

Together they had five children, Barbara (Jack-son) Lamb, Bill (Kathy), Van (Evelyn), Tom (Maureen) and MaryClaire (Dave) Genova. 
grandmother to 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
