She loved teaching, during her career she taught AP Biology for 20 years and was named Boettcher Teacher of the Year. Charlotte was a founding member of La Leche League in Pueblo. While studying for her Masters Degree at NAU in Flagstaff Arizona she did research at the bottom of the Grand Canyon for 2 weeks and received the NSF Grant to study Mt. St. Helens, according to her, she was "dropped into the crater". For 18 years, she took students on field trips to Beulah Mountain Park. Charlotte loved to cook, sew, bird watch and garden. She is proud that she worked for two weeks at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.
Charlotte, above all, cared deeply for her students. She was a devoted Christian and loved her Lord. She loved her numerous friends, and never met a stranger.
Special thanks to Chateau at Sharmar Assisted Living for their care and devotion to her. Charlotte loved where she lived and the people who cared for her, and the new friends she made.
Charlotte with be sorely missed.
