Daniel Lujan, 60, was born January 19, 1958. He was called home on October 14, 2018 and now is in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Daniel was welcomed by his beloved mother and father, Corina and Feliberto Lujan and his cherished great nephew, Zane Lujan. Daniel is survived by his treasured siblings, Virginia Lujan, Dorothy VanBuskirk, Jerry (Jane) Lujan, Leonor Lujan, Jesse (Kathy) Lujan and Gloria (Sam) Guerrero. He also leaves behind his precious nephews, great nephews, nieces, and great nieces. All of whom were his world. Daniel was a dedicated and inspirational instructor for District 60. His 34 year career began at Florence High School. Mr. Lujan never lost his dynamic enthusiasm for teaching and was an untiring advocate of educational reform. Daniel was highly esteemed by fellow colleagues as he modeled excellence. Mr. Lujan loved his students beyond measure and his classroom was his castle. World Languages was Daniel’s passion. His unique manner in instilling the appreciation of diverse cultures in his students was special and, without a doubt, his legacy. It was a privilege to be blessed by Daniel’s wit, generosity and kind and loving heart. We eagerly await our reunion with him in the Kingdom of God as our hearts are empty here on earth without him. Private viewing for family members only. Funeral Mass on Friday, October 19th at Holy Rosary Parish at 10:00 am. A special thank you to the Medical Staff at Parkview Hospital and to Monsignor James King.
