David Carpenter finished his race on August 8th, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Hutchinson, Kansas September 6, 1955. He is survived by his wife Lisa, children Jennifer (Benjamin) Sandoval, Alex Carpenter and Rebekah Carpenter, his ‘extra children’ Jordan Wood and Megan Whitlow, his grandchildren Josiah (Ashley) Marissa, Victoria, Jayden., Lex, Inaria, Bella, Zach and Elaine, sister Francie (Dave) Ballou, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Earl Carpenter, brother Billy, son’s Nick and Robert.
David loved his Lord Jesus, and had multiple ministries at his church, Praise Assembly to include security, usher, singing on the worship team and helping to coordinate the Care-N-Share program. He had spent many years working as a truck driver. He also worked as a supervisor setting mobile homes. He liked to remember his school days when he won championship in wrestling and was known as “monster man”. He also lettered in Football as well as wrestling. He enjoyed fishing with his kids and grandkids and loved his Broncos. He is remembered as a man who would help anyone he could. He loved to laugh and have fun. His strong faith and playful nature will be sorely missed. “See you on the other side”.
