Born on January 8, 1953, David was the son of the late Frank and Rose Chacon. A dedicated and tireless worker, David spent over 32 years an employee of the Pueblo Steel Mill. He was a man of immense integrity who believed in the value of a hard day's
work, and always choosing to do the right thing. David was also a lifelong parishioner at St. Leander’s Church.
Beyond his professional life, David was known for his remarkably kind heart and generous spirit. He was a patient listener and a steady presence for those who knew him. His greatest joy, however, was his family.
David was preceded in death by his beloved son, David Patrick Chacon, two of his triplet sisters, Celestia and Celina Chacon; and his parents, Frank and Rose Chacon.
His legacy of love and hard work lives on through his three sons, Ross (Anna) Chacon, Cisco Chacon, and Isaiah Chacon. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren; Aspen, Araya, Madison, Daria, Georgiy, Mikko, and David James, whom he loved dearly.
David will be deeply missed by his brother, Edward (Mari) Chacon; his sisters, Gloria Richardson, Sylvia Chacon (John), Lina Montoya (Richard), Cecilia Chacon-Leming and Christina Duran; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were touched by his kindness.
