David T. Hobbs, 70 years old of Pueblo, Colorado passed away peacefully at home on Thursday January 19, 2023, due to some difficult health issues. David was born October 11, 1952 in Pueblo, Colorado to Richard “Dick” Hobbs, and Ruth Ann Hobbs, with siblings Rick Hobbs and Sherri Hobbs (Easton). On January 6, 1978 he married Katherine A. Hobbs (Sumrall) in Pueblo, Colorado. David worked at the family owned business Hobbs Linoleum, Tile and Carpet Inc. for 42 years doing ceramic tile installation and the warehouse manager until the closing of the business in 2012. He resided in Pueblo, Colorado his entire life and loved to go fishing, camping, and enjoying the mountains, and most of all spending time with his family. During his well-earned retirement, he spent much time with his grandsons, fishing trips with his wife, planting fruit trees in their garden and allowing his creativity to flow through his woodworking and wood craft; especially with his ever popular aspen solar lights. Dave loved nature, simple beauties in life, and a relaxed and quiet lifestyle. Dave is survived by his wife Katherine A. Hobbs, daughters Melissa (Jeremy) Howerton and Shannon (Tony) Waskosky; grandchildren P.F.C Ryan J. Waskosky, Tristan D. Hobbs, Jeremy J. Howerton; sister Sherri A. Easton; nephews Mike S. Easton and Travis R ( Alaura) Hobbs. Preceded in death by his parents Richard “Dick” and Ruth Ann Hobbs, and brother Rick Hobbs. Services will be held Friday January 27, 2023 at 10am at Imperial Funeral Home.
