David Ernest Martinez, 62, passed away on May 9, 2026. David was a South High School graduate. He loved to be outdoors, fishing, hiking, and biking. He also enjoyed recycling, arts, and crafts. David had an easy-going attitude toward life. He was often found to be in the moment when creative juices flowed from his mind. Dave could be helpful, a friend, and a confidant. Although Dave could not tolerate how he was perceived, his generosity and true happiness was when he made you his friend. Preceded in death by his father, Melvin Martinez; his mother, Mary Celine Martinez; brothers, Michael, Alan, Dennis, and Melvin Wayne; nephews Justin Booker and Alan Eric Jr.; niece, Nicole Martinez. Survived by brothers Paul Martinez, and Gerald Martinez; sisters, Gerelyn Martinez and Celena Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
