Dennis Lee Sanchez, 73, was born in Denver, CO, to Salvador and Noma Sanchez Nov. 13, 1947. He graduated from George Washington HS in Denver, and attended Otero Junior College until he was drafted in 1967 to serve in Vietnam as a Marine. Dennis married Frankie Coleen Frazer on Nov. 14, 1967. He served as a police officer until retirement in Pueblo in 2000. He was preceded in death by Salvador and Noma Sanchez, and his wife Frankie Sanchez, in 2008. He is survived by his brother Ben (Julie) Sanchez of Lake Havasu, AZ; Sons Troy (Tiffany Young) Sanchez, and Eric (Joy) Sanchez; Grandchildren Oscar Sanchez and Yadira Gonzales, Sergio and Vanessa Sanchez, Jordan Sanchez, Jeremiah Sanchez, Jasmine Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez and Alaina Lockhart, Austin Smith and Kimberly Stephenson, Cade and Hope Rostad, and 5 great grandchildren. Graveside will be Friday, April 9 at 11 am at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Reception will follow at the American Legion Post 2 at 701 W 9th St. Pueblo, at noon.
