Mrs. Pope was my third grade teacher at Washington School and I really liked her a lot.  Her love and concern for all her students was very evident.  She left a lasting impression on me of what a great person she was.  May she rest in peace, and I offer my condolences to the family and friends she leaves behind.

It was always a treat to visit Aunt Dorothy - there was so many things for us to explore and see on her and Uncle Eddie's farm.  As an adult i was fortunate to visit them with my oldest son, Joshua.  He enjoyed meeting her and the listening to her talk about growing up with my mom.  She will be missed but she is now home with Uncle Eddie & her brothers & sisters - together again.

Aunt Dorothy will be missed by all. I learned my love of animals at a young age from Aunt Dorothy. Dorothy had a special gift to all children and connected with them in a special way. It is so sad to lose this truly amazing generation.

My special Aunt who made work fun!!! Who had a zest for life -even the little things. Who made nature fun.  Who made being a girl important. Who encouraged me to try new things and to be me.  She and Uncle Eddie's place our special yearly vacation as a child.  What a wonderful person she was.  She will be truly missed by me.

Eddie and Dorothy Pope were our neighbors for almost 50 years. They provided us with help and guidance when our young family moved to Reservoir Drive. Dorothy was always faithful to milk our cow for us when we would go out of town. For over two years, Wes had Bible studies with them on Wednesday evenings. They thoroughly enjoyed it. Dorothy always loved to read her Bible. On numerous occasions, I would take our grandchildren to their house and later in life to the rest homes to sing for them and to give them treats. They were always grateful for the visits. We will miss Dorothy, but we know that she was prepared for her eternal home.

Aunt Dorothy was a very special aunt to me.I loved going to her place as a child and seeing all her animals.She loved all of her nieces and nephews.She was a very special sister to my father Lester. She will be missed dearly. One thing that Dorothy told me the last time I seen her was the two things that you can expect in life are change and when you meet the lord. She was very special!
