Edith Louise Miller, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2020, in Englewood, Colorado. She was born in Gardner, Colorado, and graduated from high school in Walsenburg, Colorado. She then worked at St. Frances Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado during the WWII. She married in 1945 in San Francisco to her high school sweetheart, Porfirio (Perf) Miller, who preceded her in death in 1994.
Edith loved her family, her friends, and spending time with all of them. She enjoyed her life in Pueblo, Colorado, raising her three children and making time to knit, crochet, and sew. Later in life she also enjoyed her hobbies of oil painting and polka dancing as well as enjoying her many grandchildren. Edith became an accomplished painter and won some contests at the State Fair. She also enjoyed being outside gardening and visiting with her friends and neighbors and was happy to do some traveling with her children.
Edith’s husband, Porfirio (Perf) passed away March 15, 1994. Edith is survived by her three children – Sharon Padilla (Ray) of Sedalia, Colorado; Virginia Casida (Warren) of New Port Richey, Florida, and Duane Miller (Diane) of Brooksville, Florida, her seven grandchildren: Adina Abeyta (Armand), Gina Padilla, Sheldon Padilla (Jessica), Joy Morauski (Jeff), Justin Miller (Maggie), Tisha Casida, Clifton Casida (Jodi), and nine great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm with Rosary to follow at 7pm on Monday January 27, 2020 at Imperial Funeral Home in Pueblo, Colorado. The service will be held at Holy Family Parish in Pueblo, Colorado on Tuesday January 28, 2020 at 11:00am, with viewing prior. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Holy Family Parish in Pueblo.
