The world brightened on Oct. 29,1933 and dimmed on March 1, 2022. Emily Rose Salamon, 88, passed away on March 1, 2022. She was preceded in death by her faithful and loving husband of 63 years, Andrew Salamon and her kind, gentle grandson Jacob Alan Kurtz. She was born in Raton, NM to Basilio and Clara Moses. She grew up in Pueblo, graduated from Centennial HS and at 19 she set sail for Germany to be with our dad, her husband, her soldier, and the love of her life. They lived in various places growing their Military family for 17 years before returning to Pueblo. She was the rock and backbone of our family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Always putting others first. She was a faithful lifetime member and volunteer at Sacred heart Cathedral and a hard worker who retired from Pueblo Bank and Trust and continued to work at Mervyn’s and Sears until the age of 80. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially grandchildren, playing cards, board games, fishing and feeding everyone. She was the most kind, compassionate and beautiful woman who saw the best in everyone. The world truly lost a great lady. Emily is survived by her Children Andrew D.
