Steve was preceded in death by his bride of fifty-three years Rita; his parents, Jose Able and Ursulita Cordova and his siblings Robert Cordova, Odilia Baros-Lombardelli and Mary Ann Cordova.
His beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of his four children: Steve P. (Pamela) Cordova, Lawrence (Monica) Cordova, Laura (Dick) Montoya, Juliet (Rob) Wilson; his eleven grandchildren: Ignacio (Lisa) Sandoval, Corrina (Willie) Cordova, Stephanie Cordova, Brittaney (Kyle) Knox, Heather Constable, Arthur J Cordova, Lauren (Tyler) McCaffery, Cody Archuleta, Ryan (Charlene) Cordova, Zac Wilson, Travis Wilson, seventeen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, his devoted and loyal Compadre, Hilbert ( Judy) Navarro, as well as a loving extended family and numerous special friends.
Steve will also be greatly missed by his five God children: John Cordova, Victor Oviedo, Marina Oviedo, Carly Rey-Hays and Rob Lucero. Sister-in-laws Laura Rey Hays & Jean Lucero.
Steve proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Wasp CVA-18 and was a Korean War Veteran. He retired from the D.O.D as Police Captain at the Pueblo Depot Activity. Steve was a Master of Kung Fu San Soo and influenced the lives of hundreds of students throughout his life.
Our family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care and help of special caretakers and friends, L’Rea Reyes and Beth Shannon, Abode Hospice Palliative Care for bringing constant comfort and care to Steve during his final months and for the abundance of support to his daughter Juliet during this difficult time. We are forever grateful.
