Glen was born in Pueblo, CO to the union of Stewart and Cynthia Mapes. As a native Puebloan, he attended Pueblo Central High School. Later in life, he began to work at US West as a Manager and retired after 30 years of dedicated service.
Glen had many joys in life, especially hunting and fishing trips throughout the country. He loved telling stories and had a unique sense of humor. Those who knew Glen would attest that he was a diligent worker and was happiest when he was surrounded by family.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Mapes; Children, Glen Mapes Jr. (Ruthann), Stewart Mapes (Paulett), Irene Mapes (Carl) Brenda Mapes, Elizabeth Lucero (Luciano); And numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by Parents, Stewart and Cynthia Mapes.
A Funeral Service for Glen will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, February 17, 2025 at Imperial Funeral Home.
