

J. Frank Konty, 97, passed away February 3, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; by his parents, Andrew and Frances Fabyan Konty; by his sisters, Gloria (John) Martinko, Frances (Joseph) Fassler, Helen Konty, Jane (Lawrence) Roche, Mary Konty, and Elizabeth Konty; and brother, Andrew (Esther) Konty. He is survived by his step-son, Louis F. (Rosemary) Mihelich of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Michelle (Alan) Avenell of Englewood, CO Kathleen Mihelich of Parker, CO John Mihelich of Aurora, CO; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Scott, Mattias and Lucian Mihelich. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention. Frank was born Oct. 1, 1913 in Victor, CO. Frank served in the US Army during WWII, where he was a sergeant major in an anti-aircraft battalion. After the war, he was the office manager for an auto dealership, from which he later retired. He was an Honorary Life Member of Knights of Columbus, Council #557; the Holy Name Society; the Nocturnal Adoration Society; the American Legion; and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Funeral Mass, 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at St. Francis Xavier Church with interment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
