Josephine Valenzuela, 92, passed away February 11 , 2011 to join her husband Jake, in celebration of their 66th wedding anniversary. Predeceased by her parents, Senon and Senida Salazar; sisters, Bertha Salazar, Helen Gonzales, and Ophelia Mendez; brothers, Manuel Salazar and Erminio Salazar. Father-in-law, Juan Valenzuela; mother-in-law, Amalia Herrera; sisters-in-law, Margaret, Beatrice, Alicia; brothers-in-law, Leonard and Gene.
She is survived by children, Bertha Sanchez, Vera Herrera, Art (Christine) Valenzuela, and Gloria (Mike) Chavez; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Siblings, Alfonso(Minnie) Salazar, Millie (Leo) Gonzales, and Ernestine Valdez; In-laws, Sally (Jerry) Baca, Virginia Danis, Frances (Jim) Martinez, and Viola Herrera. Numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
She was a member of St. Anne’s Church. She enjoyed bingo and Cripple Creek.
Rosary will be held Monday 7:00 pm, Mass, Tuesday 10:00 am both services at St. Anne’s Church, interment, Imperial memorial Gardens.
