Leota’s life was defined by resilience, hard work, and deep devotion to her family. She spent many years alongside her husband operating restaurants and building homes and friendships across Nebraska and Colorado. She especially cherished time spent traveling, visiting with friends and neighbors, and making memories with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jerry Ehlers; her first husband, Merle Woodside; her parents; and her brother, Richard Liehs.
Leota is survived by her children, Marcia (Virgil) Estelle, Dru (Carl) Spinuzzi, Scott (Luann) Ehlers, George Ehlers, and Kevin (Melissa) Ehlers; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; her brothers, Donald Liehs and Larry Liehs; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
