She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Benny”; parents, Mary (Germ) and Ludwig Yoxey; sisters, Elsie Zupancic, Mary “Mae” Pechek; brother, Richard; and other cherished family members. She is survived by her children, Rick Glach and Sister Jean Glach, OP; brother, Ronald Yoxey; sisters, Gerry (Bob) Blazich and Evelyn Matkins; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A life-long Pueblo resident, Lorraine graduated from Central High School in 1940, and worked for Babey Elite Studio before marrying in 1947, and undertaking her life’s vocation as a mother and homemaker. Proud of her Slovenian heritage, she was a loyal and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. A faithful and faith-filled woman, she was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Christian Mothers, Western Slavonic Association and the Eucharistic Association. Lorraine loved life and people. Her gentle, sweet disposition and warm smile were a welcoming presence to all she met. Her sharp mind and memory of dates and numbers was phenomenal. She enjoyed time with family, visiting with friends, a good meal, and cheering for the Broncos and Rockies (especially Nolan Arenado). She met her many challenges in life and in health with strength, acceptance, and grace. She will be deeply missed. Special thanks to Dr. Jim Stjernholm for his excellent medical care and to all the nurses and CNA’s who assisted her during these past years. Viewing and Services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 307 E. Mesa Ave.; Viewing, 6-7 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 7 p.m., Thursday, November 29, 2018. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2018, with Entombment following at Roselawn Cemetery.
