

Marion was born September 21, 1928 in Uvalde, Texas to Henry and Ethel Drew. He grew up in the surrounding areas of San Antonio, TX where he attended South San Antonio High School, home of the “Bobcats”, graduating in the class of 1946. Continuing his education Marion went on to college attending the University of Texas acquiring his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, graduating in the class of 1950. It was also there, in college, where he met the love of his life, Vivian Maxine Kitchens, and asked for her hand in marriage that same year. Marion and Maxine have three sons Gary, John and Steve.
Marion was always full of ambition and began his early professional years marketing and selling building materials in several western states. Along with marketing and selling experience Marion gained knowledge with regards to building product manufacturing. In 1969 he moved to Pueblo, CO and accepted a position with Rockwool Industries where he went on to become Vice President. From there he knew he had found his home and continually became more involved in the community. With his building material and manufacturing background Marion expanded his career into residential home and commercial building throughout Colorado. His business acumen and building experience offered him the opportunity to accept leadership appointments severing as past President of the Pueblo Association of Home Builders and board member of the Pueblo Regional Building Commission.
With a larger than life spirit and wanting to serve his community even more Marion continued to donate his time serving as a board member for the El Pueblo Boys and Girls Ranch, committee member for the development of the Historic Arkansas River Project and volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America.
As much as he will be missed his spirit lives on with us as husband, father, grandfather, friend and community servant.
Marion is survived by his three sons and their spouses, Gary & Sherry Drew, John & Yvonne Drew, Steve & Becky Drew, eight grandchildren, Craig, Cameron, Lauren, Cody, Taylor, Joshua, Kaleb and Madeline, and one great granddaughter, Marie.
His memorial service will be held this Saturday 10:00 am at the First Southern Baptist Church located at 301 Cleveland Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through the Funeral Home office
