Marjorie C Chandler, better known as Marge, passed away on Thursday April 4th, 2024, at the age of 95 years old. She was born on July 28th, 1928, in Pueblo, CO, third child of Paul and Ethel (McCarthy) Reitemeier.
Marge was a proud lifelong Pueblo and Beulah Resident. After graduating from Pueblo schools, she went on to Loretto Heights College, Southern Colorado State College, and Adams State College, obtaining her master’s degree in special education. Marge was a dedicated educator with the Pueblo District Number 60, retiring in 1988. Marge was a devoted member of the Shrine of Saint Theresa in Pueblo and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Beulah.
Marge is survived by her children Paula Tillquist of Jerome, ID, Jim (Mary) Chandler of Clifton Park, NY, and Clay Chandler of Pueblo, CO, daughter-in-law Julie Chandler of Ft. Collins, and seven grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Marge was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Robert G Chandler Jr, her brothers George (Joy) and Richard (Patricia) and sister Regina (Charles), son Robert G Chandler III, son Jeffrey L Chandler, grandson James M Chandler, and son-in-law Dr HR Tillquist.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, April 11th, 2024, at 6:00pm at TG McCarthy Funeral Home, at 329 Goodnight Ave, Pueblo, CO. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Friday April 12th, 2024, at 1:30pm, at 8800 N Maryknoll Blvd, Beulah, CO. Arrangements are under the direction of TG McCarthy Funeral Home in Pueblo. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the the Beulah Fire Protection and Ambulance Department, at 8675 Central Ave, Beulah, CO 81023.
