

Mary Ellen "Cookie" Corella departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and enduring joy. She was a remarkable woman whose presence brought warmth and light. Known for her radiant spirit, playful nature, and resilience, Cookie touched countless lives and will be remembered for the love she so freely shared.
Cookie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a deep love for Classic Country and Spanish music and found great joy in dancing. Her vibrant personality, laughter, and unwavering strength created lasting memories that her family and friends will forever treasure.
Cookie is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Corella, son, Joseph L. Trujillo, and sisters, Maria A. Gilbert and Lupe Alfaro Baca.
She is survived by her daughters, Melissa (Rey) Guzman and Amanda (Chris) Taylor, grandchildren, Daniel (Ashtin) Ruybal, Joseph (Victoria) Rey Joseph, Aiyanna and Neriah Guzman, Christopher II and Noemi Taylor, and great grandchildren, Brooks and Liam Ruybal.
She is also survived by her sisters, Gloria (Jerry) Montoya, Julie (Roger) Montoya, Margaret (Matthew) Cross, Angie Alfaro, and Ana Alfaro, brothers, Pete (Brenda) Alfaro Jr., Jesus (Judy-deceased) Alfaro, and Thomas (Ruby) Alfaro.
She leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will continue to honor her memory.
Though her passing leaves a profound void, her spirit lives on in the joyful moments she inspired and in the hearts of those who loved her.

A visitation for Cookie will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 5-7pm at Imperial Funeral Home, Fireside Room. Memorial Services and reception will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 10am until 1pm at Family Worship Center.
