Matt John Peulen

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret Peulen, son Alex, and his siblings. He is survived by his children Kathleen (Gary) Lochrie, Michael (Anna) Peulen, Rose (Jeff) Jubert, and Mark (Michelle) Peulen, and daughter-in-law Brenda Peulen; grandchildren Kyle (Rose), Chad (Mariah), Alison, Adam, Lia (Elias), Matt, Jade, Dante, and Zach.

Matt held the office of Pueblo County Commissioner for 8 years and was active in several community organizations. He worked for CF&I for 32 years as a millwright, and was actively involved with the Steelworkers Union for several years. He loved his wife and family, and a part of his heart was always in his homeland of Holland.

Special thanks to his caregivers Nanette, Jackie, and Jessica and their families.

A visitation will be held Wednesday December 1, 2021 at 4pm, with a rosary at 6pm at TG McCarthy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Thursday December 2, 2021 at 9:30am at The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, with interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
