Mercy Plascencia went to be with our Lord April 3rd, 2018. Preceded in death by her husband Joe, son Doug, granddaughter Melissa, great-granddaughter Gabriella. Survived by siblings: Louise (Tom) Martinez, Joe (Theresa) Serna, Abel (Alfonsa) Serna. Children: Charlotte (Michael) Zupan, Sheron Plascencia, and Bruce Plascencia. Grandchildren: Tiffany (John) Garcia, Kimberly (Ricky) Shawcroft, Brian Sanchez, Casey Plascencia, Ashton Plascencia. Great-grandchildren: Korey, Ryan, Hannah, Damian, Nastasia, and Izabella.
To say she lived life to the fullest would be forgetting to mention all the fun and crazy things she has done in her life! She rode crazy roller coasters every summer, went to the State Fair to drink Bud Light and listen and dance to live music all night. She loved working as a teacher’s aide up until the day she went home. Her past passions included working and co-owning a radio station and serving with the Democratic Party as Precinct Chair for over 40 years. She had never been sick or spent the night in a hospital bed. Going to Vegas at least four times a year, sailing on cruise ships all over the world, and traveling to Sturgis and every biker Rally she could attend from Florida to Texas. There is so much more to this glorious spitfire of a woman that we had the privilege to love and call our own.
