OBITUARY

Michael Calvin Stockton

19 January , 19598 May , 2019

On Wednesday, May 8th, 2019, Michael Calvin Stockton, loving father, brother, uncle, and friend went to be with the Lord at the age of 60.

Mike was born on January 19th, 1959, in Pueblo, CO to Calvin & Jewel Stockton and was one of five brothers and sisters. Mike was father of two sons, Kyle & Joseph, and one daughter, Jessica.

Mike was known as a great welder that loved to hunt and fish in the Colorado mountains, tell old rodeo stories about his bull riding days, and above all else had a true passion for making people laugh. His brothers, sisters, children, nieces, nephews, and friends were often blessed with a random phone call from Mike to tell his latest story or joke, and if Mike could make it through without laughing too hard himself, his loved ones had their day brightened by his sense of humor and contagious laughter.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Calvin Stockton, and his mother, Jewel Stockton. He is survived by his three children, Jessica (Lance) Klaus, Kyle Stockton (Alyssa Bruce), and Joseph, his brother Jeff (Becky) Stockton, his sisters Vicki (Jerry) Wills, Debbie (Kerry) McKlem, & Kally (Don) Graham, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 18th, 2019 at Good Pasture Barn located at 7970 Hwy 78 W Beulah, Colorado. Flowers or cards for the family may be sent to Kyle Stockton at 2230 E US Hwy 50 Pueblo, Colorado 81006.

Hello so sorry to see this man has passed! When I was young I would watch Mike play baseball. And he was so fast , he could run like a wild stallion! Don’t know this for sure; but I think he was part Mexican! Because he was so cantankerous, in a good way! He made everyone no matter what walk of life you were from feel like a brother! God bless his family. Jeff , you had an awesome brother!

You will be deeply missed, my deepest sympathies to the family. What great man he was. You could always count on Mike to come up with the craziest most hilarious off the wall jokes. Life will not be the same without you. Thank you for the memories.

My name is Sabrina Sample . Mike and Kim saved my life one Christmas morning. I was driving my Volkswagon bug on my way to work in Pueblo from Beulah early Christmas morning, several years ago before cell phones. I was all dressed up with high heels on, in celebration of Christmas. It was still dark outside and snowing like crazy. My bug broke down on the Beulah Highway. I had pulled over to the shoulder and it was getting pretty cold in that junker. About thirty minutes went by, snow blowing everywhere and thank goodness Mike and Kim stopped to help me or I would have froze. They offered me a ride into town. They had their dog with them so I climbed in the backseat and sat next to their dog. The Dog would not stop barking at me and I Love dogs. Finally Mike laughed and said "I think it's those weird pink and purple curlers you have in your hair". I had forgotten all about those curlers. Once I took them out , no more barking.
Mike would always laugh when he saw me remembering that story. Sam and I have some wonderful memories of Mike when we lived in Beulah. May the good Lord grant him Peace, Happiness and Joy in Heaven. To his children and family may God help you hold on to the happy memories you shared. God's Blessings Sabrina and Sam Sample and Family

Mike and I worked together for Transit Mix and I considered him a friend. We always had a good time hanging out together, every time at his house on Prairie he always had to check on his elderly neighbor. Mike was a heck of a nice guy and I think life wasn't too good to him 'cause he always had something on his plate to set him back, it seemed his life was always in turmoil and a lot of it I don't think he deserved, but he seemed to always find a way. The last time I saw Mike was at Burger King, probably 4-5 yrs ago, we talked awhile and he seemed in good spirits. My condolences his family and friends, he is free of all his earthly chains and living the good life. I will always remember MIKE.
