

Patricia C. Robles, 96, born on March 17, 1920, to Teofilo and Delfina Cabello; passed away May 20, 2016. Patricia attended public schools in Pueblo; and then, married Arthur Robles at the onset of WWII. When he returned from the war, they raised 13 children. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, Timoteo Robles and Gregoria Delgado; brothers, John, Joe and Benny, who served in the United States military during World War II; sister, Mary Bravo; also preceded in death by children, Robert, Felix, Patricia and Joseph. Survived by sister, Theresa; children, Timothy (Nancy), Richard (Roberta), Jessica Avila (David), Victor, Charles (Lisa), Rudy (JoAnn), Daniel (Cheryl), Anna Chavez (Greg), Kathleen Lopez (Greg); daughters-in-law, Mary Robles and Denise Robles. Patricia is also survived by 32 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a strict disciplinarian, a skilled barber to nine sons and a hairdresser who created banana curls, braids and bangs for four daughters. Throughout her young life, she washed countless diapers, football and baseball uniforms by hand and provided the family’s daily bread in the form of endless stacks of flour tortillas, which accompanied every meal. Patricia was the matriarch and heart of her family. She will be remembered as a faithful servant of God, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. For her faithfulness, unselfish love, and dedication, we give thanks to our heavenly Father and return her into His care. The Lord gives, the Lord takes, blessed be the Lord. Viewing will be 4-6 p.m., Thursday, followed by the Rosary at 6 p.m., both to be held at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2016, at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
