Paul H. Urenda, age 87, born August 14th, 1934 in Ault, CO and passed away peacefully October 11, 2021 in Pueblo, Colorado. Paul graduated from Centennial High School, where he met the love of his life, Delores. They were married in January 1954 and enjoyed 50 years of wedded bliss until her passing in 2004. Paul worked many years as a diesel mechanic and later retired from the automotive industry. He enjoyed spending time with treasured family and scratching lottery tickets.
Paul is predeceased by his parents Senon and Lydia Urenda; wife Delores Urenda; son Dennis Urenda; grandsons Jason Ortiz and Aaron Ortiz; brothers Albert Urenda, Manuel Urenda, Alice (Clifford) Salazar and Mercy (Abe) Trolley; In-Laws Isadore and Mary Montoya, Susan Urenda, Mike Carr, David Montoya, Alfonso (Josie) Montoya and Patrick Romero.
He leaves to cherish his memory; children Paul ( Donna) Urenda, Brenda ( Marty) Ortiz, Dan ( Jackie) Urenda, Cheryl Carr and Michelle Urenda; grandchildren Stephanie Martinez, Michael Carr, Brad (Felicia) Carr , Andrew Carr, Sean Urenda, Anthony Pacheco, Marty Ortiz, Jr. Garrett (Carmen) Ortiz, Sheryl Ortiz and Justin (Amanda) Cesar; twenty-two great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren; Brothers Robert Urenda, Conrad Urenda and Sam Urenda; sister Hope (Manuel) Acosta; In-Laws Aurthur (Rita) Montoya, Terri Montoya and Charlotte Romero; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral mass for Paul H. will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2827 Lakeview Avenue, Pueblo, Colorado 81005.
