Robert Blaine Chisman, 90, peacefully passed away Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012, with his loving family by his side. Robert was born December 30, 1921 in Fountain, Colorado; and was the second of Roy and Ruth Chisman's four sons. The Chisman brothers grew up northeast of Pueblo in Hanover, Colorado where Robert, ‘Bob’, as most people called him, enjoyed riding horses, raising cattle and working on the family's farm. Shortly after graduating from Hanover High School, Robert moved to Pueblo to work in the Tube Mill at CF&I. He wasn't there long before joining the U.S. Army in 1942, where he was assigned to the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II. Robert was discharged in January, 1946; and eventually returned to CF&I and Pueblo, where he met his lovely wife, Pauline (Epolita Sanchez). Married in 1952, they moved to the St. Charles Mesa to raise their three children. Robert was predeceased by his loving wife of 44 years, Pauline Chisman; his parents, Roy and Ruth Chisman; his sister, Macel Lenora Chisman; and brothers, Charles and Chase Chisman. He is survived by his “little brother”, Paul (Carol) Chisman, of Hanover; children, Judy (Carlos) Martinez, Marvin (Mary Rodriguez) Chisman, and Ramona (Gregory) Chisman-Ewing, all of Pueblo; grandchildren, Vanessa (Lee) Martinez-LaJeunesse, Jocelyn (Donald) Martinez-Brown, Andrea Rodriguez, Joshua Ewing, Andrew Martinez and Ciara Ewing; great-grandsons, Isaiah Rodriguez and Draeken Stephenson-Ewing; and numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces and cousins. Services will be at Adrian Comer Funeral Home, 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 with burial at Roselawn Cemetery. Donations are welcome in his name to the Hanover Volunteer Fire Department, through the funeral home. Online condolences may be made to www.georgemccarthyfuneralhome.com.
