Robert Quintana

PUEBLO – Robert R. Quintana, 71, died October 16, 2022, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 28, 1951, in Pueblo, Co, the son of Fred and Vivian (Martinez) Quintana.

Robert married the love of his life, Rita Montoya. They celebrated 52 years of marriage in April. Robert worked at the C&W Railroad for 27 years and eventually retired from Progressive Rail in 2014. He dedicated his life to the Lord when he was 27 years old. He enjoyed working in the church and served as a minister for many years. He was a skilled carpenter and built various pieces of furniture for his loved ones. He was a jack of all trades and loved them all. Whatever he put his hands to, prospered. Robert’s hobbies included fishing, hunting, and spending time in the mountains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Quintana; in-laws, Louie and Margaret Montoya. Surviving in addition to his wife, Rita (Montoya) Quintana, are his sons, Robert (Lisa) Quintana, and Joshua (Lynette) Quintana of Pueblo, Co.; daughters, Christina (Isaac) Cordova, and Linda (Danny) Denney; sixteen grandchildren, Bo (Molly) Quintana, Ashley Ortiz, Alyssa (Steven Montelongo) Ortiz, Jaycob Cordova, Zebadiah (Amanda) Cordova, Téa (Corey) Cordova, Robert (Nohelly) Quintana, Michael Quintana, Jordan (Adacia) Lira, Jayden Gonzales, Joshua D. Quintana, Isabel Quintana, Samantha Quintana, Abraham Rivera, Mianna Quintana, Victoria Gonzales; brothers, Fred Anthony Quintana and Donald (Celina) Quintana; sisters, Eleanor (Mike) Trujillo, Filomena (Rudy) Duran, JoAnn Reynolds, Rose (Bill) Ayala, Nancy (Louie) Sosa, Beverly (Danny) Abeyta, Pat (Antonio) Munoz; brother-in-law, Steve Montoya and sister-in-law, MaryAnn (Dennis) Montoya; ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Robert will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Full Gospel Christian Assembly, 1101 E. 7th Place, Pueblo, CO 81001.
