Roseanna Fulton, 84, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Dec. 23, 2016 following a battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Don Fulton (2014); son Ted Fulton (2002); parents Archie and Minnie Urie; brother Clarence Urie; brothers-in-law Doyle and Ed Fulton; and sisters-in-law Carol Fulton and Erma Boren. Left behind to cherish Roseanna’s memory are her beloved daughter Connie (Ronnie) Kendall; grandsons Jim and Steve (Mindy) Fulton; great-grandchildren Heather, Brooke, and Jett Fulton; brothers Lloyd and Everett (Jeannie) Urie; sisters-in-law Marty and Karen Fulton; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend Lou Cansino, and many wonderful friends and neighbors. Roseanna’s life was built on a rock of faith and it carried her through all the storms that life brings. She was grateful for everyone in her life and accepted people for who they were. She really was an exceptional lady and everyone loved her. She enjoyed the simple things in life and never took anything for granted. Roseanna worked for the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Department for 29 years, becoming in 1963 the first female Deputy Sheriff. She served as secretary for four sheriffs and then as Personnel Director until her retirement in 1994. She was so proud of her family for owning and running their own businesses and was their biggest promoter and supporter. Don and Ted owned and operated Fulton’s Used Cars. After Ted’s death and Don’s retirement, grandsons Jim and Steve took it over. Her daughter Connie and her husband Ronnie own and operate Pet Paradise. Even with her illness, she never complained and talked about how blessed she was to have lived a long and healthy life until her illness came six months ago. She leaves a giant hole in the lives of the living, but fills a well-deserved space in heaven. Viewing Thursday, December 29th from 5pm-7pm at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
