Shirley Ann Petric

Shirley Petric, 90 of Benton, Arkansas since 2018, formerly from Pueblo, Colorado, passed away August 9, 2025. She was preceded in death by her late husband, John Petric, her second husband, Stephen Lyon and her first husband, Howard Wills and their son, Steve Wills. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Joe W Staples and Geraldine Staples Howry, sister Alice, brothers O.D. Staples, Glen E. Staples, J.W. Staples and Leslie Staples. Survivors include her sister Dorothy DeSalvo, son David (Linda) Wills, daughter in law, Sara Wills and daughter Cathy Colarelli, (former son-in-law David Colarelli). She was also survived by her grandchildren, Jessica (Bruce) Reese, Heather (Joe) Cyr, Katy Wills and step grandson Joshua Blaylock, Cody Colarelli, Taylor (Kevin Maglia) Colarelli and Peyton Reese. Great grandchildren include twins Ainslee and Zoe Maglia, Ty Cyr and Maggie Cyr and Ashley Ake. She had several nephews and nieces in addition.

Shirley was a former co-owner of Lyon’s Beauty Supply along with her husband Stephen Lyon in Pueblo. She loved working in her yard and growing flowers.

Shirley and her husband John Petric loved to travel and were fortunate enough to travel to many destinations such as Europe, Jamaica and Canada.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 2:00 at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home in Pueblo.
