Silvano Christopher Gomez “Cheeto”, 27, passed away July 25, 2023. He was born in Pueblo, Colorado. He will be eternally missed by his parents Barbara Padilla and Bradley Gomez (Diane Maes). Silvano is survived by his sister Destiny Padilla (Zach Carrero) nieces Peyton, Madisyn, Zayda, Zaylee, and Alivia; Godson and nephew Isaiah Carrero; brother Justin Gomez (Marisa Lucero); nieces Bayleigh and Braelynn Gomez; grandparents Mary Padilla, Betty and Gilbert Gomez, and Anna Mae Cruz; Godfather Stanley Gomez; his best friend and cousin Cisco Gabaldon; many buddies from high school; Brothers in Blue; as well as numerous family members and friends. Silvano was preceded in death by late sister Krystal Padilla and grandfather Jose Eugene Padilla.
Silvano graduated from South High School in 2014. He attended PCC and got his foot in the door to Corrections, where he flourished for 6 years. He enjoyed entertaining on his boat, fishing, camping and being adventurous with his buddies both from work and from school. Silvano enjoyed simply hanging with friends and family, absolutely adored being outdoors, and definitely enjoyed a good burger and beer. Silvano had many friends from all walks of life. He was not a judgmental person and he always wanted to see everyone doing and being their best. His unconditional love was on display for everyone to experience. He will be remembered by his contagious smile, big heart, and funny personality.
A visitation for Cheeto will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023 between 4-5pm at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home, followed by the praying of the rosary at 5:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 611 Logan Avenue, Pueblo, Co. 81004, followed by his committal service at Imperial Memorial Gardens, 5450 HWY 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005.
