

Sylvia Jean Nipper, 77, passed away Nov. 22, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was born at La Junta, CO, Feb. 25, 1940. She graduated La Junta High School, married, and moved to Pueblo, CO where she and her husband owned and operated Pueblo Typewriter Exchange until he died in an accident. Sylvia worked various account/clerk jobs thru the years retiring from CF&I steel Corp. Sylvia married Frank Nipper in 1965. They lived on a small acreage and enjoyed the country style life. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad until retirement. She loved working in her flower garden, bowling and square dancing. She kept her beloved horses, dogs and cats near. Sylvia also enjoyed taking cruises and gambling trips. She was always present whenever the family gathered together for special occasions. Sylvia will be dearly missed by family and friends. Sylvia is survived by her sister, Marian Mae Barnes; Nephews Brian Donald Barnes, David Alan Barnes; Niece Linda Louise Barnes Hunter and their families; Uncle George Boraker and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph Thomas Edwards and Lena Mae Berkley Edwards; Husbands Robert J. Munyon and Frank Searle Nipper; father and mother in law Frank Sylvester and Edith Emily Nipper. Sylvia was very thankful for the caregivers from Sangre De Cristo Hospice and First Light Home Care. Those who wish can make donations to those organizations. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at 11 am at Imperial Funeral Chapel.
