Virginia Gutierrez

Virginia Gutierrez, 79, of Pueblo, CO has ascended to join her Lord Jesus on May 12, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cledis Arellano, her parents, Esequiel and Annie Gutierrez, her brother Felix Gutierrez, and sisters Margaret Gutierrez and Ida Santistevan. She is survived by her daughters, Doris Gutierrez, Tammy Morgan (Roger), and Claire Soto (Steffan); Sons, George Rojas, Alvin Rojas (Mary Ellen), and Eddie Rojas; Sisters, Priscilla Montoya, Martha Otero and special cousin Darlene Montoya; Grandchildren, Christopher Rojas, Michael Rojas, Anthony Rojas, Ezequiel Salazar-Arellano, Isaiah Salazar-Arellano, Elijah Rampa, Alvin Rojas Jr., Jalen Rojas, Jeremiah Rojas, Christa Rojas, Amber Mathew, Amanda Barr, Edwin Rojas; Several great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Because of her love of the outdoors, nature and the mountains, she enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Her passions were painting, singing, playing the piano, and crocheting. She especially enjoyed being deeply involved with her grandchildren. As a devout believer in Jesus Christ she lived her life to inspire and be a spiritual example to all those around her.

As the sun began to set in her life, she did not allow the darkness of her battles to quench her spirit. Although cancer overcame her physical body her indomitable spirit transcended to continue the battle for us from heaven.
