Mrs. James was born September 10, 1920 to John Marvin and Ruby Short Ridiner. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alvie James, daughter Vivian Thorton, and son Alvie David James, Jr.
Visitation will be Monday December 9, 2013 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday December 10, 2013 at Carr & Erwin Chapel with interment in Liberty Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include son Larry James of Florida, daughter Willie Busby of Womble Ridge, brother Leslie Ridiner of Pulaski, sisters Imogene Davis of Pulaski, Marie Francis of Illinois, Katie Shelton of Pulaski, Ethel Kennedy of Pulaski, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, two god nieces Edna Wheeler and Louise Scott both of Michigan.
