She was born in Lester, Alabama on February 17, 1954, worked with Frances Buchanan Head Start at Minor Hill School for 20 years, her mother was the late Martha Ann James Stewart, preceded in death by daughter, Vickie Dawn Stewart.
Visitation will be on Tuesday , March 17, 2015, beginning at 5PM until service time at 7PM at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Survivors are: father, Walter (Junior) Stewart of Athens, AL, husband, Wayne Swanner of Minor Hill, TN, son, Wayne Swanner, Jr. of Minor Hill, TN, daughter, Tina Townsend of Minor Hill, TN, brothers, Farrell Stewart of Athens, AL, Donnie Stewart of Minor Hill, TN, Michael Joe Stewart of Lake Placid, FL, Teddy Lane Stewart and Jeffrey Lynn Stewart both of Minor Hill, TN, sister, Polly Thompson of Athens, AL, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
