Dennis Ray Griggs

Dennis was born in Pulaski, TN on May 23, 1972 to Lawson Hune Griggs and Linda Faye Gordon. He worked at KFC as a cook and was someone who found happiness in life’s simple moments. Some of his best days were spent with a fishing pole in his hand, cheering on the Steelers and the Vols, and being surrounded by the people he loved most. Family meant everything to Dennis, but nothing brought him greater joy than his children, grandchild, and his faith in God were the heart of his world. Nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with them, and those memories will be treasured by the ones who knew him best. He is preceded in death by his father Lawson Griggs; mother Linda Medley; brother James Eddie Barnett; Granny Earlene; Grandpaw “Toots”.

Visitation will be held from 11-2pm on Saturday May 30, 2026 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with Funeral Services immediately following at 2pm. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Dennis is survived by his sons Joshua Golden (LesLee) of Hohenwald and Ethan Lister of Pulaski; bonus child Paige Pruitt of Lewisburg; Sister Pam Barnett Norwood of Pulaski; grandson Joshua-Dewayne Golden; bonus grandchildren BB, Braya, and Bay; nieces and nephews Cody Peoples, Chloe Norwood, James Barnett, Gabrielle Barnett, Colbey Johnson, Cheyenne Riggins, and Amber Storey; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
