He was born in Pulaski, TN, on March 3, 1949, retired from Maremont Gabriel Corp., served in the Army during Vietnam Era, a member of the American Legion, and preceded in death by his parents, Ripley Howard and Christine Higgins Surles.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial in Giles Memory Gardens.
Survivors are: daughters, Kayla Tarpley and Brent of Pulaski, TN, Krissi Surles of Pulaski, TN, family friends, Van Hallmark, Rickey and Melissa Pierce, Mike and Amy Pitts, and Tony Dunavant, all of Pulaski, TN, grandchild, Avery Tarpley, beloved dog Sophie, and sisters at heart, Mottie McIntire and Vickie Dunnavant.
