He was a retired School Teacher, Coach, and Principle with the Giles
County School System, a United States Army Veteran, a member of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars, Pulaski First Baptist Church, and the Pulaski
Masonic Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his sons Joe Edward Doggett Jr., and James Wade
Helton.
Survivors include his wife Mary Jean Helton of Pulaski, daughter Carla Sue
Helton of Pulaski, sister Mrs. Audrey Nelson of Liberty Hill, grandson
Dustin Keith Birdsong & wife Amber, and great grandchildren Knox and Clay
Birdsong.
Memorial Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday January 13, 2011 at
First Baptist Church Pulaski with Jon Haskew officiating. The family will
receive friends one hour prior to the service.
