He was born in Ardmore on April 3, 1928 to the late William Ernest and Maudie Lee McNeese Pylant. His wife was the late Katherine Hollingsworth Pylant. He served in the United States Army and retired from the Redstone Arsenal and as Command Sergeant Major of the Tennessee National Guard.
He is survived by his son, Kent and wife Dawn Pylant of Dacula, GA, his daughters, Vickie and husband Joey Thompson of Elkmont, AL and Karen and husband Larry Davis of Canton, GA, his 7 grandchildren, and his 5 great grandchildren.
Masonic Funeral Rites will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Pulaski where Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
