Judy was born in Lauderdale County, AL on April 23, 1943 to Verdie Cleveland and Virta Elva Springer McCarley. She was employed as a seamstress for Genesco and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Judy carried herself with quiet strength, caring nature, and grace throughout her life proudly serving as an orderly in the United States Air Force. Her greatest joy in life, however, was baking—especially fried pies—which she loved sharing with others, and in those pies that she lovingly made she left a reminder of her caring and generous heart. Judy also found happiness in quilting, reading, woodworking, gardening, caring for her fur babies, spending time with her family, or just keeping her hands busy. Judy is preceded in death by her parents Virta and Cleveland McCarley; loving husband of 64 years Johnnie Vincent; brothers Dalton “Joe” McCarley and Sheril McCarley; sisters Elaine Medley and Betty Sheets; great grandchildren Luke and Levi Allen; several nieces and nephews.
