He was born in Ringgold, Georgia on January 17, 1935, served in the US Army during the Korean War, and preceded in death by his parents, Astor Avery and Elwin Megan Driscoll.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Survivors are: wife, Betty Driscoll of Pulaski, TN, 1 son, 4 daughters, sister, Charlotte Williams and husband Ronald of Ringgold, GA.
